Simple Coffee is a social enterprise built around two priorities: exceptional coffee and investing in people. These are some of the ways we seek to put those priorities into practice each day.

As one of Imago's workplace partners, we have the privilege of welcoming young adults with intellectual disabilities onto our team as they prepare for future employment. Together, we believe meaningful work reminds us that everyone has something valuable to contribute.

Responsible Practices
Good coffee begins long before it reaches your cup.
That's why we intentionally support local coffee farmers whenever possible, seek to reduce waste and unnecessary plastics, and partner with growers who care for the land responsibly. By making thoughtful choices at every step, we hope to honor the people, the environment, and the communities that make great coffee possible.
ACCESSIBILITY
Removing Barriers
Hospitality means making room for everyone.
That's why we've intentionally designed our building with features like a wheelchair ramp, elevator, and accessible restroom, helping more people enjoy our space with comfort and dignity. These same features also make it possible for people with limited mobility to work alongside us, because we believe a welcoming community is one where everyone has the opportunity to participate.

IN-CLASS TRAINING
Imago provides classroom instruction that builds foundational skills, confidence, and workplace readiness.
PRACTICAL EXPOSURE
Students gain real-world experience through hands-on tasks like cleaning, dishwashing, and serving at Simple Coffee and other partner businesses.
INTERNSHIPS WITH SIMPLE COFFEE
Students participate in structured internships with partner businesses. Based upon their interest, some are placed with Simple Coffee, receiving barista skills training, mentorship, and a regular work schedule.
MOVING FORWARD
Students are equipped with skills and confidence to pursue meaningful employment at Simple Coffee or with any of our partner businesses.
Through our partnership, Simple Coffee provides real-world workplace experience, helping participants build the skills and confidence needed for meaningful employment.
